I’ve been workin in this office since June, so I am doin quite good….though….
People here is so International, some has degree in the state, some are even from foreign country. Even if he did not go abroad, they never get shrieked with English.. I would say this is what is called higher education…tokyo uni?
But things that stuck in my mind is…..its just sad the work is all about money in the end. Yes, it is environmental Dept here, but the first thing is off-course to make money in order to pay mortgage. They do a project that has potential of benefit. For example, there is a methane factory in Malaysia. We do CDM to reduce methane emission. Yeah, it’s a great project…but when you think about it, if you visit Malaysia as a environmentalist….they would say” let not make palm tree factory its deforestation.” I cant help but wonder…I just don’t get the mechanism of CDM. Why don’t multi-corporation just spend some money on environment. Just by hiring consultants and make CDM, you could save a hell a lot of poor animals in Amazon.
As I work here, I see they work so hard that they do not have a time to involve with environment activities… They don’t know or never hard of fair trade, they don’t care about Stand up and Speak out. Yes they are contributing the mother earth just by working, but why don’t we show some move abit. Last time I went, all we did was bitching about the frigging work, barely talk about anything else. And I realize that guys tend to become oyaji when they get drunk, which I am not comfortable with. On the way home, somebody puked in the train. I dobt know why they drink without knowing his limit and tank up?
